The only way you can increase the resolution of a screen capture is by
reducing its size (height & width) in proportion to the amount you're
increasing the resolution. Reducing the size by 50% while doubling the
resolution should give results good enough for printed and online docs.
For example, if you have a 72-ppi screen capture that's 5 inches tall and
10 inches wide, scale it smaller by 50% while doubling the resolution so
you get a 144-ppi version that's 2.5 H x 5 W in.
