RE: Cubicle Noise Canceling (WAS: A PDA in every pocket?)

I use headphones to mask bothersome conversations and suppress my
occasional urges to jump up on my desk and tell them all to be quiet
(put nicely)! But sometimes I just had to get up and walk away from the
desk when even headphones wouldn't drown out the loud slurping of the
cubi-neighbor's tea drinking every morning at 11:30 - just like
clockwork. (I no longer have that neighbor.)
My last company the problem was unattended ringing cell phones. But then
it was a wireless phone company. Still, it made for distraction when
needing to focus.
Now, I'm fortunate. I have a window with a view (of a parking lot and
trees, but still a view) and a TV on my desk. So I'm not complaining
very loudly at all anymore.
