Why don't you consider DocBook as a single-sourcing solution? Why do
you treat single-sourcing as formalizing your documentation?

I use DocBook XML as a single-source for my documentation. I can
easily create PDFs and HTML (other formats are also available from
DocBook XSL). I don't feel creating documentation in DocBook is very
formalized and more difficult than using other approaches. It's just a
bit different than WYSIWYG.
