John,
I'll second what Kenneth said. I used the "save as 2002" option extensively last year and didn't have any problems. My templates weren't terribly complicated, so I didn't experience any problems with a loss of functionality.

Hi, guys...I have Visio 2002 on my laptop and my company has Visio
2003. I'd like to open the files when I'm home.

Short of upgrading, anyone know if there is an easy way to get Visio
2003 files to open in 2002?

I'll even consider an intermediate step, as long as the cost isn't
comparable to buying the upgrade.
