Subject:RE: Dreamweaver to text or PDF? From:Joyce Fetterman <JoyceF -at- gtsoftware -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 27 Oct 2005 13:23:04 -0400
Claire asked:
<< Can you take text in Dreamweaver and export it? Either to a text file,
Word, or save it as PDF?
<< I don't know the version of Dreamweaver being used, but could find out.
Apparently it is a 157 page website that is only 30 pages (or so) of actual
text that they want to reuse. Ultimately, they will place it in
FrameMaker and single source the content.>>
I use DW to create software documentation. I use HTMLDOC
<http://www.easysw.com/htmldoc/> when I need to create PDFs from the HTML
files. HTMLDOC is a little clunky, but it gets the job done.
I also use Organic Master Toolbox
<http://www.organicsw.com/mastertoolbox.htm> to spruce up the PDFs. The
folks at Organic have been wonderful to work with. They've quickly answered
my questions and helped me find ways to enhance my PDFs.
