Hi,

On Windows systems, there's a simple DOS command that lists all the
files in a given directory to a file.

At the Dos prompt, type "dir /s > files.xls" without the quotes.

This prints a list of all files in all the subdirectories (/s) that
directory to an excel worksheet named "files". (files.doc will output
to a Word document and files .txt will give you a text file with the
required output.

This out put will require some fancy footwork in excel to get the info
you want, but I've used it every now and then and got what I've wanted
done.

P.S. run the command "dir /?" for help with switches or other usage issues.
