Hi all!
My last question about master documents and my experiences at work and with friend which are
currently putting together their theses have inspired me: I'd like to put together a brochure or
(very) thin book about Word basics for my colleagues and friends. Not just explaining how to use
Word features but why and when.
I only want to include some of the basics which seem to escape the average user and which are
obviously not taught in school and university courses:
- Use of the different views, especially outline
- structuring a document (more outline view)
- use of paragraph and character styles
- no double spaces, no empty paragraphs
- tabulators
- Settings (like Fast save, auto correction, etc.)
- Warnings (e.g. master document)
I will of course check the MSVP site, but if you have any ressources or suggestions, I would be
very thankful.
