Hello,

I've been participating a little here, and realized I haven't introduced myself yet.

I'm a full-time freelance editor, and I have 5 years of in-house publishing/editing experience in Chicago. I have written technical manuals in health-care contexts. My clients include top-tier academic presses. (I also occasionally teach an undergraduate writing course at the local U.)

I am an alumna of the University of Chicago and Reed College. Some of my interests include different management theories, and entrepreneurial business models. I am married to a wonderful chemistry professor who is the smartest man I have ever met.

Look forward to participating on the list.

Best,

heidi

Mike said:" That's the Minnesota Gophers, ya know. The #1-ranked Uof Wisconsin
Badgers have only lost once this year!"

Thanks for clarifying that it is NOT the Minnesota Badgers. I was
going to say something, but I was too distraught after being labeled
of all things a Badger. But this Gopher is over it now as snowflakes
are finally starting to appear out my Chicagoland window!!!!!

As for what I am doing today - other than welcoming winter weather -
is working on some procedures for the operations techs and listening
to Bob and Tom A to Z.
