Hey all,
January will be my last semester as a tech. comm.
major and I'm thinking of taking a human factors
course. My advisor recommended it and I'm interested.
I think I have an idea of the kinds of things one
learns in such a course.
It's a good credential to have if you want to get involved in user interface design. "A course" in human factors is not the same as a degree in human factors engineering; but in many companies the latter is a luxury beyond their means, while a tech writer with good exposure to human factors concepts will be just what they want.
