I think this is bunk, Al. True, Bill bought DOS, but his Altair BASIC he
wrote himself.

developed in the '60s long before the Altair computer was released.
BTW...I didn't say that my friend wrote the code, I said he documented
it. We used modified Altair computers (CP/M systems) for our off line
program development prior to switching to Forth and then to UNIX.
Derivatives of the Altair were sold by everyone, just like IBM-clones.
