I, too, have recently been introduced to SnagIt and, as a result, am
wondering how I ever did without it.

For the record, I've been using Windows graphics apps dating back to
Windows version 1.03 (a runtime version of which shipped with the first
version of Aldus PageMaker).

I've pretty much seen it all, and I can give SnagIt an unequivocal
recommendation.

SnigIt is an EXCELLENT program - as mentioned in other posts, it does a
lot more than just "snag" a screen - you can capture an entire scrolling
window, add annotations, save in a whole host of graphics formats, etc.
Personally, I detest PaintBrush (no comments, please, I'm entitled to my
opinion) - tho' it has it's place, for my purposes, nothing beats SnagIt
(and I've used a lot of 'capture' s/w).

Never heard of Stardock...

Everyone;

I have a coworker (pseudo-tech writer) who insists that I need SnagIt
and StarDock for my screen shots. SnagIt looks useful, but I don't
really see any difference beyond your normal image editor. As for
StarDock... I have no idea how that would help.

Any thoughts?

My first impression is that this coworker just has her "pet program"
and is trying to convert the world.
