Jennifer,

I used guru.com during grad school and while contracting. I had some good clients and some very strange offers (e.g., "Need 500 pages edited on {date} between the hours of 8am and 5pm" -- Huh?). But, overall I found it enlightening. My general impression is that a lot of the clients who go there really aren't sure what they are looking for, so it's difficult to match expectations with reality.

Good luck!

Arroxane

Hello all,

Has anyone here used Guru.com to find freelance technical writing work? If anyone has any experiences to share, good or bad, please let me know.

Thanks!
