1. The word 'reticent' being used in place of 'reluctant'. "I'm reticent to
agree to that..."

2. Adding syllables to a perfectly good word to make it sound more
impressive. Usually the only problem with the new word is that it means
something different: for example saying 'definitive' when 'definite' is
meant. Sometimes the new word is not just wrong, but gives the sentence a
completely unintended meaning: "The speech concluded with a simplistic wish
for truth and harmony in all things."

3. The pretentious expletive 'particular': "On this particular occasion..."

4. The words 'analysis', 'technique', 'partitioning', 'modules',
'Discussion', 'technique', 'taboo', 'listserv' and 'DFD' used in
combination.

Aah, that feels better.
