So it has been used incorrectly 35,700,000 times on the Web.

I haven't been following this too much but I find this discussion silly.
Pick one and use it consistently, geeze.

Cass (an American who has uses 'alright' all the time and no one as _ever_
complained including MS spellcheck for US English - not that that is saying
much but still - I also use 'till' (no spellcheck complaints either) and
will keep using it till the cows come home - so there!)
