Can anyone provide suggestions on what software to use to edit mpegs
that will end up on a marketing CD? Is there an industry standard?
We're planning on including several 30 second (or longer) video
testimonials from retailers promoting our retail computer system. We're
new to mpegs, since we only include jpgs/gifs on our retailer web site.
We use Photoshop to edit images taken with our digital camera. Mpeg
editing software was included with the video camera, but it doesn't have
many options. I'm checking this through Google, but I wanted your input
also.

I use Pinnacle Studio DV (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Home/). It's powerful enough for me to use on a professional level and yet easy enough for my wife to use when creating personal videos of the grandchildren, vacations, etc. The newer versions will output to virtually anything except Quicktime. It's also relatively inexpensive.
