The Six Sigma DMAIC process (define, measure, analyze, improve,
control) is disigned to produce impreovements according to a defined
methodology. You don't just pull processes out of the air without
going through the process, at least not if you want to following the
Six Sigma process. What you do is dictated by the process to resolve
the issue.
I'd suggest you run this past one of your Six Sigma Black Belts.
