I had problems last week converting large Word docs with TOC links to pdf
documents. It started out with Acrobat blowing up and writing strange .txt
files in Word. And the TOC links wouldn't work in some of the pdf documents
that we were able to create.

Well, 3 days later, I've finally solved the problem. I thought I'd share
what I found out:

- To convert documents larger than 10 MB with Acrobat 7 and Word 2003 SP2,
we had to upgrade our RAM to 1 GB.
- We weren't able to get table of contents links to work reliably when we
used Acrobat 7 and Word 2003 (SP 2). We had to go back to Acrobat 6 and an
earlier version of Word 2003 (no service packs). I'm not actually sure if
Acrobat 7 or the Word SP was the culprit. I suspect it's Acrobat 7.

Have a good weekend. Thanks to eveeryone who offered advice.
