Dick, with all due respect, what makes you think that one precludes the
other? 

There have been 15 or 20 posts commenting on this draft over the past
couple of days -- what made you suddenly decide that the topic isn't
appropriate for the list? And why direct your comments specifically to
Bonnie and me, thus snubbing Gene and Dan and John, who'd commented on
it in the hour or so before us? 

Jeez, we weren't even critiquing the grammar and spelling!
