According to the website they are up to version 8.1. I'm using v7.2.2 and
it has a tab specifically for editing. There is an editor (simple and like
MS Paint), a studio (pretty slick), and batch converter (never used it).

Well, my version has an Effects > Trim command for trimming a specified
number of pixels off one or more sides. But in general, you don't edit
images with SnagIt, you edit them in Paint, PhotoShop, PaintShop Pro, or
some other image editor.

Version 32?? I've got SnagIt 6. I realize it's 3 or 4 years old, but I
doubt they're up to v. 32. I think you're somewhat confused.
