I'd suggest you check out the archives of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Word_DocDesign/ and/or post the question to Microsoft MVP Dian Chapman (http://www.mousetrax.com/consulting), who moderates this group.

Subject: Macro for Word

I've been asked to create a Macro for Word that will, when the user opens a new document, ask if the document is 'Internal' or 'Confidential', and based on the user's need, will insert the appropriate footer. Is this even possible? I've managed to create a macro that will insert a footer and even added a toolbar button, but I can't seem to come up with a way to actually have a dialogue box that asks the user which footer he needs, and insert one based on his answer.

Thanks for any help you can give me!
