We have no way of knowing that that didn't happen. My wife is
a former legal secretary, and she can recount numerous incidents
in which her attorneys rejected her suggestions regarding corrections
to their writing and later discovered that they should have accepted
them.

The author (attorney, scientist, etc.) always has to approve the changes anyway. Or at least they should. <g>
