Oh yeah, the whistlers. I worked with a guy who, constantly and very
melodically, whistled the first line of this old song;. For the life of
me, I can't think of the name, but it's something I knew from my
parents' elevator music stations they used to listen to (they called it
"dinner music"). Anyway, just the first line... pause... repeat that
line... pause.... ad nauseam.
At least he did it well, I guess...

When I was working at AT&T, I had my own office. One day someone knocked
on the open door and said, "I don't know if you realize this, but you're
singing the Barney song. I wouldn't have said anything, but you've been
singing it for like 20 minutes." God, how embarassing!
In my last job my cubicle was next to a guy's who had this habit of
whistling tunelessly while he worked, just two long notes alternating
with each other. Talk about wanting to smack somebody!
