You can apply brand new styles in RH even if you have none at all in your
Word copy. You can create and apply a whole special style sheet, which is
what I do. I never try to make them match the Word styles, since you're
right, it doesn't really work. When you import a word file with a list in
it, you get a list in which the first character is a bullet character, not
an auto-bulletted list.
In any case, I wasn't suggesting styles in Word (although I generally do)
but applying styles in RH. Once you're there, what you do in Word doesn't
matter any more.
