I've been told by others here locally that once you hit 50, companies
dread hiring you full time - even though the statistics supposedly show
that older workers tend to be more stable, miss less work and perform
just as well, if not better, than the younger crowd.

So here I am, doing what I thought I'd never do, contract tech writing,
and finding it ain't so bad after all.

Yep, age discrimination is illegal.

Tell that to the feds (who STILL refuse to enforce the Fair Labor
Standards Act with its minimum wage provisions, so that the cheap labor
can keep on flowing in).

It'll only stop when young illegals start getting elected to Congress
and take less pay. <!!??>
