Wes,

If you can find the old MIL-STD-(398 or 498, don't remember off-hand
which one), then you can find a description of a Hardware Design
Document, as well as Software Design Document, and various others. I
think that the standard was superseded by something else, but I don't
know what. That was after my time.

Subject: Template for Hardware Design Description

Greetings Team! I'm hoping someone out there can assist with this
problem.
One of the documents we need to produce in the Design phase of our
contract
is a Hardware Design Description (HDD). The problem is, there is no
document description provided and, after many hours of research, I
simply
cannot come up with a template or structure for this document. Does
anyone
know where I can locate such a template or a generic hardware design
description document from which to build a document structure? As
always,
any help would be deeply appreciated.

Wes
