I agree with Dori - if you're new to this, specialist training or backup
consultant if only to check that you're providing everything you need.

Re ISO, I did QA for 2 yrs at college (broadening my scope - slow
market!) and subsequently did the first draft of the QMS for a software
company. We then got a consultant in to 'polish' it up before applying
for ISO/TICKit.

One of the lecturers said something that stuck with me - some standards
(especially ISO 9000 etc) are not really about quality but consistency.
If you're accredited and produce rubbish then you'll consistently
produce rubbish :-)

It shouldn't be a goal in itself but part of a process. These procedures
describe how we do things. Review the procedures and see if you can
improve how you do it. Repeat ad nauseum :-)
