I include an "About the Help" topic in all my help projects because we
have made some major updates to our help system.

The last time our help was revised was around 2001 and 3 major
releases ago. When I inherited the project, I found that our users
needed a little help on using the help because there were so many
changes.

Once the users get used to using the new style, format, and
functionality of the help, I'll probably take it out.
