Hi!

A friendly reminder to correspondents: if you send mail directly to
someone on the list rather than to the list itself, remember to
"whitelist" his or her e-mail address. Several times now, people have
written to me off-list and I have responded to them, only to have the
e-mail rejected as "spam" by their e-mail server or client. That's
*very* frustrating, since I have no direct way of telling them to fix
their e-mail! I only hope that they are notified that mail was blocked.

Someone did write to me in the past one or two days; if you are she,
please "whitelist" my direct address and send me a note, and I'll reply
again.

Whitelisting is adding someone's e-mail address to a list of e-mail
addresses your server or client automatically accepts.
