Complex numbers in PPT

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to enter a complex number (usually a letter
with a bar over the top of it) in PowerPoint, without inserting an equation
object?

We have some complex numbers in running text in the notes, so inserting
an equation object doesn't work. I have been able to insert some as symbols
from the character map, but the character map doesn't have characters for
all the letters I need (such as Z with a bar).

I searched the archives,
and I found no solutions other than the two listed above. Is anyone aware
of any other solution?
