I definitely fall into this category, and then some. The potential
presence of snow anywhere between the origin and destination
for any trip I am contemplating is an immediate signal to me to
call and book airfare.
Incidentally, for anyone not aware of the history of roads in the
western US, anything called "<Something> Camp Road" is likely
to be an old logging road that even under the most idyllic conditions
is usually best taken only if you're driving something with 4WD
and a high ground clearance.
Someone who learned to drive somewhere flat and non-snowy would be
likely, I think, to react to a snowy road with a 'holy nfbsk, that thing
looks scary, I think I'll stay on the flat, ta-very-much.'
