Count me as another vote for real content instead of just links. But
forget the voting -- Mike Starr and Beverly Robinson nailed the real
issue. You and the graphic designer are filling in for someone who's
temporarily (we assume) absent. In the absence of orders from on high
otherwise, you're _obligated_ to continue as the editor would have if
she were there. If you fail to do so, she'd be justified in considering
it an outrageous betrayal.
And who the heck cares about the _content_ preferences of a graphic
designer, anyway? ;-)
