It may depend on the PDA OS. There are different versions of Acrobat
Reader for PocketPC and PalmOS:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforppc.html
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforpalm.html

The PC-side component of the Palm version of Reader will do an
optimization on a PDF before the document is sync'd to the Palm. I
haven't messed with putting many PDFs on my TX because of lousy
performance with anything longer than a couple of pages, but from what I
recall, the success of this optimization depends on the original PDF
having been distilled with embedded tags (?).
