Bingo! That's precisely the question that some of us would ask.

But not all. And maybe that's one reason 5+-page resumes work for some
people: those long resumes successfully target the people not looking
for short and narrowly targeted docs -- people who may even be turned
off by short and narrowly targeted docs.

Maybe resume length is a discriminator that efficiently matches
positions and applicants along an important axis of compatibility.

Maybe "It depends" is the right answer after all. ;-)
