Hi,

Babara Thomas in her review on computer-assisted translation recommends finding out what some international organisation are doing in this area. One of the organisations she mentions is the European Union.

At the STC France's annual conference coming up on 2-3 February in Paris one of the speakers will be discussing this topic.

Ian Andersen of the EU will speak on "Communicating Europe in many languages: European Commission communication strategy and the challenge of multilingualism"

http://www.stcfrance.org/conference2007/program

It promises to be a most interesting presentation and conference, which has a theme "Raising our Profile."

Cheers,

jen
