Dana had asked for an example of precise language being good for
business, and I didn't have an answer at the time.

I've just remembered an old article about intra-office communication --

Jargon doesn't have to be imprecise, but the examples in the article are
-- and they're bad for business.

Ironically, the winner in MSNBC's unscientific poll for most annoying
business jargon is... "Value-add."
