FWIW, other posters on other lists have reported that WinHelp32
only partially works under Vista. For example, one poster to the
HATT list reported that
"Everthing looks and works fine except the Search tab is completely
blank. In other words, it does not build the database of terms and
there is no way to search the WinHelp system on Vista."

If he's correct, you can read topics, but you may not be able to
find the topic(s) that you need. Is that good enough? Not in my
book. Maybe the official Vista WinHelp tool (which I understand
is not yet avaialble for download) will do better.

This whole sorry chapter has been one big FUD from the start. I hope no
one lost too much sleep (or money) frantically converting to CHM before
WinHelp "stopped working."
