Not really. You may have discussed your departure with your manager and gone into more depth about your reasons for leaving, where you're going, etc., but all the written letter
needs to say is something like, "this will confirm our
conversation of February 15" and go on to specify what
your last day with the company will be. If HR wants to
know more, they can ask your manager, but chances are that they'll ask you for any more info they want in some sort of an exit interview.
