recommendation from an boss that normally won't write them.

Interesting... Although I agree with Collin that the letter of
resignation may not be the place to ask for a recommendation, I am
interested in having a my co-workers recommend me. Since I already have
a position lined-up, is a recommendation really necessary? I fully
intend to not 'burn-bridges' because I really do like the people I've
work with and the current company... My leaving is more of a career
choice.
