Hi,

I just found out that the company I'm at writes validation protocols for the content of the users guide. I've seen them for the help files but never for manuals. (I'm now getting questions on why is this here and this doesn't make sense.)

The manual is now in signature cycle and has been sent off to our translation service. To me this is what the manual reviews were for. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seems to me like closing the barn door after the horse has been stolen.

I don't know why they do this unless it is a way to track changes that need to be made to the manual for the next release.

I have told the person that anything that is incorrect in the manual will not get changed until the next release of the manual. If the information is going to cause death or serious harm to the user, then, and only then will it go into the current release.
