I spoke with the Software/Hardware lead about the protocol.
He said that they usually don't do this type of protocol or at least to this extent. The protocol they usually do ensures that all of the FMEA mitigations, CE, WEEE, and RoHS requirements have been met.
I asked about how they are going to track the requested changes, no real plan, but he said that I'd get a redlined copy of the requested/suggested changes for the next revision.
He realized that it wasn't the best of timing and that the people that reviewed the manual didn't necessarily review to the fine details. Bad assumption on my part. Next time I'm going to have one or two of the guys in the lab do a review.
