While I see your point, I think it's okay to include some people who
don't want to be and aren't technical communicators. And, I think this
document is a good effort and perhaps the best attempt I've see yet by
an organization to try to define technical communicators.

You also might be a tech writer working for a government agency. You
also might be a tech writer working for an NGO.

If you stretch the document to include all of us, it will also include
other professionals who clearly aren't "us."
