Thanks very much for the reply. I agree with you: folder structures
communicate so much more than filenames. You can quote me on that...

What I meant to say was something more like "I'd really favor the model

all the localized files contained within individual, per-language
subdirectories under a top level directory to contain all the various
localizations."

Or something. I don't like the sound of that either, really.
