RE: Making the "eng" character display in FrameMaker?

I looked in the online manuals that Sean recommended, and found under the Unicode symbols section:

014A; Eng; LATIN CAPITAL LETTER ENG

I don't understand how this information is helpful? What if anything can I do with the code, 014A?

I am mystified.
