Well,
We have trouble getting all our customers to use one approved version of
a single browser, so getting them individually to download and install
the patch from Microsoft is unlikely to succeed. Maybe your customers
are better.
So, fair enough, then go ahead and create new projects in WinHelp and
forget about moving to the HTML-based stuff. Horses for courses.

<sigh> Here we go again.
Using WinHelp under Vista is "awkward" only if your file requires 32-bit
WinHelp (as opposed to 16-bit).
Even then, it's a problem only if it's awkward for your user to get the
free download from the MS site.
Otherwise: No muss, no fuss, no bother.
