If Adobe comes out with a Frame replacement, they will probably have some sort of program to upgrade their current users for a nominal amount. When InDesign came out, Adobe had an "Early Adopter's" program where you got it for free if you were using the Adobe suite of products. It was a way to get the PageMaker users to switch and also it helped them get the Quark Xpress users to migrate. The company I was working for was using Quark, and they were a real pain to deal with and their authentification scheme was a nightmare. They insisted that every workstation connect to an authentification server to verify a valid license, also they were completely inflexible when it came to volume licenses. When Adobe came along with InDesign, Quark had made themselves so much of a pain to deal with that people were willing to go through the hassle of trying InDesign, even though it was new. I know I did and will never look back.
