Thanks to all who responded to my question about whether to write out
numbers in technical reports. I'm not as far off the mark as I thought
I was! We don't currently have a style guide, but I'm in the process of
collecting items that will go into one later this year. This issue, of
course, has to be in it...
Thanks!

Subject: Write out numbers -- or not?
<When to spell out and when not to? Or, use all numbers? I find it
difficult to "pull out" the important items (like 6 to 7 batches per
shift) if they're spelled out, and I've read that, in technical reports
like these, it's best to just use the numbers. What would you do?>
