Hi, Yves:

First, save the index file, so you can use File > Revert To Saved, while
you experiment with this approach; or, create an index from a single
chapter, for quicker results than from a whole book:

On the index's Body Page or Reference Page, click in the paragraph model
for each index level except the Level1IX paragraph (Level2IX, Level3IX,
etc.) Then, use the Pagination properties page of the Paragraph Designer
to set the paragraph's property to Run-in. Update All, then regenerate
the index. You may need to modify the default punctuation to
semicolon+space (; ), or whatever your style guide requires.

Look up run-in paragraph properties in the online FrameMaker help for
details.
