It depends. How much extra does the Errors and Omissions coverage cost?

When I had my own freelance typesetting business lo these many moons ago, a typo got past me, my assistant, and the customer. He signed off on the proof, got the 5,000 brochures, refused to pay me and demanded that I pay for the corrected printing (more than ten times my bill to him). We ended up in small claims where it didn't take long for the judge to rule in my favor and add an extra charge to this guy for presenting a frivolous suit wasting the court's time. It would have gone in the opposite direction for sure if I had not had that signed "Looks good, print it" with the client's signature and date.

I would not operate a typing/writing/publishing/etc. business without E&O coverage. If it costs a lot, I'd just have to adjust my rates to cover it. YMMV.
