Ugh! Let me guess -- you lived in South King County and worked in
Redmond.

I live in Renton and work in the South Lake Union area. My commute is
fairly reasonable because I vanpool. I don't like to go south on I-405
from my home because of the traffic. The intersection at I-405 and the
Valley Freeway (State Route 167) is so bad that a few years ago the
governor took a tour of the traffic "bad spots." They deliberately
avoided that particular intersection because they hadn't scheduled
enough time. (It once took me 30 minutes to traverse the
intersection!).
