If you're asking whether or not to include the http:// <http://>
portion of the address, it's usually no longer necessary. Modern
browsers can do without it, and most users know about it in case they're
using an outdated browser. IMHO.
In general it's better to hide URLs unless the audience really needs to
know what they are: "Read the detailed instructions." Or if necessary
"Read the detailed instructions at www.address.com
<http://www.address.com/> . Again IMHO.
